Trusteeships
The trusteeship division helps individuals organize debt
repayment. In order to file for trusteeship, an individual must
meet the following requirements:
- Have a judgement against them and a current fifteen (15)
day notice
- Live or work within the city of Toledo
Trusteeship can help a debtor prevent proceedings in
attachment, in aid of execution, and other actions subjecting
the personal earning of the debtor to payment of obligations.
Once the trusteeship forms are completed, the Clerk of
Court’s Trusteeship division will collect 25% of the debtor's
gross wages minus taxes per pay period. When $600 accumulates,
the money is distributed to all listed creditors on a percentage
basis. This process continues until all creditors are paid.
The telephone number for the Trusteeship Division of the
Clerk’s Office is (419) 245-1924. The Trusteeship Division is
open 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
